Don’t Be Caught With Mud On Your Face

Meet my sweet boy, Louie.

I actually have 2 little dogs that are my four legged angels. They found me several years ago, and we have been always together companions since. To say I LOVE them is an understatement!

Grace is a sweetheart.

Louie, on the other hand, has short man syndrome and sometimes he doesn’t play well with others.

One morning, recently, we were walking on the trails in the park. It had stormed the night before so the crushed gravel/dirt were wet and messy. As we crossed a bridge and rounded a corner, another dog happened into our path. As soon as Louie saw him, he immediately started his usual acting out self, to which the other dog and it’s pet (I love that from 101 Dalmations-Ha!) simply turned around and headed back in the direction from which they had come. But…that was the same direction that we were going. Louie just couldn’t help himself and he started chasing after them acting the fool.

And do you know what happened next…?

Well Lou boy caused such a ruckus—barking and hopping around— that he slipped on some mud and fell face first right into it.

Yup. That’s right- it was the kind of mud where you don’t sink but instead you slide right across it and, in Louie’s case –all four feet came sliding right out from under him!

Lol! I had to laugh because when he finally got back up, I promise he looked around hoping the other dog had not seen him.

But as you can see…he got a little mud on his face. And actually it was all over his little black velvet ear and his white paws!

So…Louie and I had a discussion the rest of the way out of the park about how…

When you are not nice to others, This is what eventually happens

The universe does not look kindly on those who are not kind, nip at others’ heels, bark at others or say ugly things, and generally don’t support one another. There’s no need to be caddy, snippy, gossipy or anything of the such.

There is PLENTY of room for all of us…four legged and two legged alike.

Be nice.

Be kind.

Share the Path.

We’re all in this thing called life together.

Don’t end up with mud on your face!

Cheers to being your awesome self!
