Let me share a story…
I LOVE my flower garden.
Years ago I found these really cool flowers called Cleomes. They are beautiful. I’m always wanting to experiment and add new things, so I planted five of them and much to my delight, I watched them flourish throughout the summer. They were gorgeous, standing tall and majestic, bobbing their pink spidery heads in the summer breeze.
As things go, by late summer they had run their course and, since they are annuals, I pulled them all up and tossed them to the compost pile.
Fast forward to the next spring…
I had HUNDREDS of them! They were everywhere!
Much to my surprise thane had spread threw fallen seeds. I spent the entire season thinning them out and giving them away—anything really to not be overrun by them.
This went on for several years, until I finally had had enough and decided they were far too aggressive for my garden and I completely eradicated them.
Beautiful as they were they just couldn’t stay…
…or so I thought. LOL
As you can see in the picture, many, many years later, one has returned.
Not only has it come back, but it stands taller and straighter than any of the cone flowers. That beautiful, tenacious flower is just standing there…waving in the wind, laughing and saying to me
Look at me!
I’m different!
I am strong!
I have grit!
I have tenacity!
I. AM. UNSTOPPABLE.
I want that for you, and for me.
Be You! Be Different! Stand tall!
Show your grit and determination and your individuality.
Be a CLEOME.
You’ve got it in you!
